Steps
- Open Menu → Settings → Preferences → Alerts and sounds.
- Choose whether to play Incoming call sounds, Message sounds and Call waiting sounds.
- Tap the tick to save.
- Return to Settings → Permissions and check that Notifications is allowed.
- If alerts remain silent, check the phone’s volume and Do Not Disturb settings.
The demonstration restores all three sound switches to on. Message alerts require messaging to be enabled and supported by your SIP service.
Transcript
You can choose which sounds SessionTalk plays for calls and messages.
Open the menu, then Settings, Preferences, and Alerts and sounds.
Incoming call sounds controls whether the app rings for a call. Tap the switch to turn it off or back on.
Message sounds does the same for new messages. We’re turning it off here, then putting it back on.
Call waiting sounds lets you hear an alert when another call arrives while you’re already talking.
Tap the tick to save your choices. Then go back to Settings and open Permissions to check notification access.
Notifications need to be allowed for the app to show alerts. These sound switches are separate from your phone’s own settings, so check volume and Do Not Disturb as well if an alert is silent.
