Andrews & Arnold

Andrews & Arnold, also called AAISP, is a UK provider that supports both registration and IP-based authentication on the same account. Either works with SessionPBX.

Settings

AAISP publishes these for a PBX trunk:

  • Host: voiceless.aa.net.uk
  • Username: your phone number
  • Password: the SIP password for that number

Confirm them against your own AAISP control pages, and ask which authentication method your account is set up for.

Add the trunk

  1. Open the SessionPBX project and select Call Routing.
  2. On SIP trunks, select Add trunk.
  3. Name the trunk and choose Andrews & Arnold as the Provider if listed, or Generic carrier (registration).
  4. On Connection, enter voiceless.aa.net.uk, port 5060 and UDP unless AAISP told you otherwise.
  5. On Authentication, choose Username and password, and enter your phone number as the username with its SIP password.
  6. Turn on Register to this carrier if the account uses registration. Leave it off for an IP-authenticated account and list AAISP’s signalling addresses instead.
  7. Enter your numbers on Inbound and your caller ID on Outbound.

Select Create trunk.

More than one number

Additional AAISP numbers can route over the same trunk. Add each one under Inbound numbers, then set where it rings from the inbound routing table on the Call Routing page.

Test

  1. Call one of your numbers from an outside phone and confirm the right extensions ring.
  2. Enable Outbound PSTN for one member, call a public number, and confirm two-way audio and the presented caller ID.
