To add a SIP account in SessionTalk, open Settings and choose Accounts. Have the details from your phone service provider ready.

Select the plus button, then choose SIP. You can add an account here even if you already have another one connected.

Give the account a name you’ll recognise. We’re calling this one Tutorial office.

Enter your SIP username and password. These come from your provider and may differ from the details you use on their website. The password stays hidden as you type.

Next, enter the domain, including a port if your provider has supplied one. This example address belongs to our local test phone system.

Open Advanced SIP settings, then SIP identity. Only fill in a separate authentication username or SIP proxy if your provider asks for one.

Under Registration, check the transport. Our test account uses UDP. Use the transport your own service recommends, then select the tick to save these settings.

Back on the account screen, switch on Enabled so the app can connect.

Select the tick to save. When Registered appears in green, the account has connected to the phone service. You’re ready to try a call.
