Make and answer your first call

The calls use a local test PBX. This video demonstrates incoming calls with the app open; locked-screen and push calling have a separate lesson.

Steps

  1. Select Phone, enter the destination number and tap the green call button.
  2. Wait for Connected after the call is answered.
  3. Tap the red end call button to hang up.
  4. For an incoming call while the app is open, tap the green answer button.

Transcript

With your account registered, open Phone and enter the number or extension you’d like to call.

Tap the green call button. Once the call is answered, you’ll see Connected and the call timer. We’re calling an extension on our local test phone system.

When you’ve finished, tap the red button to hang up. You’ll return to the dial pad.

When someone calls you, check who’s calling and tap the green answer button.

You’ll see the same controls as before. There are separate lessons for mute, speaker, hold and the keypad.

Tap the red button to end the call. That covers making and answering calls while the app is open.
