To get started in SessionTalk, add your SIP account and give it a name you’ll recognise.

Fill in the username, password and domain from your phone provider. We’ve already entered the password here, so it stays hidden.

Next, open Advanced SIP settings and look under SIP identity. Only add an authentication username or SIP proxy if your provider has given you one. We’re using a local test phone system.

Under Registration, choose the transport your provider recommends. Our test account uses UDP. Tap the tick to save.

Now switch on Enabled and give the account a moment to connect. When you see Registered in green, the connection is ready.

Save the account and check its status in Accounts. You can now try a call. Remember to use your own provider’s details, rather than the example address shown here.
