Groups make it easier to keep your app contacts organised. Here’s how to create one and add a contact.
Open Contacts, tap the three dots beside the tabs, and choose New group.
Give the group a name and tap Save. We’re calling this one Colleagues.
Open the new group tab, then tap the add-contact button beside Search.
Enter the person’s first name and surname. Our example contact is Alex Morgan.
Add their phone number or extension. We’ll use extension two thousand and one.
You can give the number a label under Type, such as Mobile, Home or Work.
We’ll choose Work. Dismiss the keyboard, then tick Colleagues under Groups to add Alex to that group.
Tap Save, and Alex appears in the Colleagues tab.
Open the contact to check the number and group have been saved.
If you need to change anything, tap the pencil in the top right.
Here, we’re updating the Work number to extension two thousand and two. You can also scroll down to check the group selection.
Tap Save to keep your changes.
You can rename a group from the three-dot menu too. Choose Rename group, type the new name and save. We’ll change Colleagues to Work.
Open Alex once more to check everything. The new number is saved, and the contact is still in the group we’ve just renamed.
