SessionPBX
Plivo
Plivo connects to SessionPBX through a Zentrunk outbound trunk. SessionPBX can read your Plivo account to fill in your phone numbers.
Before you start
Create an outbound trunk in the Plivo console under Zentrunk, and note its termination address.
Note your Auth ID and Auth token from the console overview. The Auth token grants full account access, so SessionPBX uses it for the account lookup only and never stores it.
Connect your Plivo account
- Open the SessionPBX project and select Call Routing.
- On SIP trunks, select Add trunk.
- Name the trunk, then choose Plivo as the Provider.
- Enter the Auth ID and Auth token, then select Connect account.
SessionPBX lists your phone numbers. It does not infer a termination host, because a Zentrunk address depends on how the trunk was created.
Complete the trunk
- Connection — enter your Zentrunk outbound trunk address as the Host. Port
5060and UDP are filled in. - Authentication — keep By our IP address and list Plivo’s signalling addresses, confirmed from your Plivo console, under Carrier IP addresses.
- Inbound — your numbers are listed if you connected the account.
- Outbound — set Caller ID to a number on this Plivo account.
Select Create trunk.
Finish in the Plivo console
- Add your SessionPBX region’s service address to the outbound trunk’s IP access list.
- Create an inbound trunk and map your numbers to it, so Plivo sends inbound calls to SessionPBX.
Numbers can be mapped to an inbound trunk through the Plivo console or its Number API.
Test
- Call one of your Plivo numbers from an outside phone and confirm the right extensions ring.
- Enable Outbound PSTN for one member, call a public number, and confirm two-way audio and the caller ID you set.
