Manage two calls and create a conference

These controls require the relevant premium features. The example uses an isolated test caller and an automated spoken-audio extension.

Steps

During a connected call, select Add call, enter the second number and call it.
After the second call connects, the original caller is On Hold. Select its Resume button to switch callers.
Open the connected call’s three-dot menu and select Merge calls.
Check that the conference lists both callers and shows 3 parties, including you.
Select the split icon beside a participant to speak to them separately. The other caller is held.
End an individual call with its red button. Use Back To Call → Resume to return to a remaining held caller.
End the remaining call when finished.

You can add another call while you’re already speaking to someone. These controls need the relevant premium features. Start by selecting Add call.

Enter the second number and make the call. Here, we’re calling an automated test extension. Once it connects, the first caller is on hold.

To switch back, select Resume on the first caller’s card. The other call moves onto hold.

Open the three-dot menu on the connected call.

Select Merge calls. The conference card now shows three parties: you and both callers.

Both remote calls remain connected. We checked that the test extension’s spoken audio reaches the other participant through this conference.

To separate a participant, select the split icon beside their number. That participant becomes the active call, and the other caller is put on hold.

Use the red button on a call’s card to end that call.

If another caller remains on hold, return with Back To Call and select Resume to continue the conversation.

When you’re finished, end the remaining call with the red button.
