Call a contact and save an app favourite

Phone contacts require contact permission. An app favourite is saved inside SessionTalk. Jamie Taylor and the extension are demonstration data.

Steps

1. Open Contacts → Phone and search for the contact.
2. Open the contact, then tap the star beside the number.
3. Check the name and number in New favorite, then tap Save.
4. Open Favorites and tap the phone icon beside the saved contact.
5. Wait for Connected, then use the red button to end the call.

Transcript

Open Contacts and choose Phone to see the people saved on your device. Allow contact access if the app asks.

Search for the person you need, dismiss the keyboard, then open their contact details.

To keep this number handy, tap the star beside it. That creates a favourite in SessionTalk.

Check the name and number, then tap Save.

You’ll find the saved contact under Favorites. There’s a phone button beside their name.

Tap it to start the call and wait for Connected. Here, we’re calling an extension on our local test phone system.

When you’re done, tap the red button. The favourite stays in the app, ready for your next call.
