Do Not Disturb (DND)

Availability: These instructions describe the new call-handling controls, currently in testing. They may not appear in your installed Windows or macOS app. Availability depends on your app version and provider.

Do Not Disturb rejects incoming calls on this device while leaving established calls and outgoing calls available. It takes priority over Auto Answer.

Turn DND on or off

Open Settings > Preferences > Do Not Disturb, turn the switch on, and choose Until turned off, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or Until… for a future date and time. Save with the checkmark.

To end temporary DND early, turn the switch off and save. Enabled scheduled rules still apply, even when the main switch is off or a temporary duration has expired. Disable or delete those rules too if you want to stop all personal DND.

Add a schedule

  1. Click Add rule and enter an optional name.
  2. Select the days; a checkmark identifies each selected day.
  3. Leave All day on, or turn it off and choose start and end times.
  4. Set Apply to to All callers, Unknown callers, or Selected numbers.
  5. For selected callers, enter one caller number or SIP username per line, including the country code when it appears in caller ID.
  6. Save the rule, then save the main DND screen.

Unknown-caller rules use contacts available to the app. Device contacts count only where supported and permission has been granted.

Schedules use this computer’s local time, including daylight saving changes. An earlier end time means the next day: a Monday 22:00–08:00 rule runs from Monday night into Tuesday morning. Any matching enabled rule can reject the call.

Use each rule’s switch to enable or disable it, click the rule to edit it, or use its delete button to remove it. Save the main DND screen after changes.

Scope and provider settings

App DND rejects incoming calls; it is separate from app sounds and Windows or macOS notification and focus settings. It does not set PBX-wide DND or stop other registered devices from ringing. Your provider determines how rejected calls are handled, including any voicemail routing.

For SessionCloud accounts, personal DND applies only where administrator policy permits it. The provider provisioning reference describes the planned managed controls and their availability.

If a call still rings, check that you saved the rule and the DND screen, that the rule is enabled, and that the days, time zone and caller selection match the call.
