Open Contacts, then select the add-contact button beside the search box. We’ll create an app contact for a fictional colleague called Alex.

Enter the contact’s name. You can add a surname and photo too, if you’d like.

Add the phone number or extension. We’re using two thousand and three on our local test phone system.

Select Save. Alex now appears in the contact list.

To organise contacts, open the three-dot group menu and choose New group.

Give the group a recognisable name. We’re calling this one Tutorial team.

Save the group, open Alex’s contact, then choose the pencil to edit it.

Scroll down to Groups and tick Tutorial team. A contact can belong to more than one group.

Save again, then select Tutorial team in the contact list. The filter shows the contacts assigned to that group.

To call Alex, open the contact and check the saved number.

Select the voice-call button. SessionTalk dials the saved extension, and the test phone at the other end rings.

Back to the desktop tutorial series.
