Set up Esendex USA messaging

This provider is available in the SessionCloud messaging settings.

Open your BYO PBX project in Provisioning > Advanced > Messaging, enable SMS, and select this provider under Incoming and outgoing SMS.

This connection uses the Esendex USA Messaging API and US or Canadian messaging numbers. It is separate from other Esendex regional services.

  1. Select Esendex USA, enter the Messaging API License key, then use Save at the bottom of the page.
  2. Copy the complete webhook URL, including its token. Configure it as the number’s incoming-message postback URL in Esendex and enable that postback. If configuring through the API, use SetPostbackUrlForPhoneNumber and SetPostbackEnabledForPhoneNumber, with IncomingMessage or All postbacks.
  3. Assign the number to its SIP account, provide updated account provisioning, and test incoming and outgoing SMS.

The connection URL serves all numbers assigned to it. Incoming callbacks use HTTP POST; JSON and form-encoded SMS callbacks are accepted. SessionCloud returns an empty HTTP 200 after processing. Outgoing requests include their own postback URL for sent and delivery updates. MMS is not enabled in this connection. See the provider’s postback configuration .

Connect the app and test

Assign each messaging number to its user’s exact SIP username and domain, then provide updated authenticated provisioning or an account provisioning QR code. See Connect the app.

Test sending, receiving, duplicate callbacks, offline synchronization and background notifications. Check the carrier’s records before resending a message whose delivery is uncertain. Keep credentials and private webhook URLs out of screenshots and support messages.

Compare all messaging providers, or use the troubleshooting guide if messages fail.
